PMA Tool Single Rifle Cleaning Cradle

$95.95

We have seen all manner of cleaning cradles and rifle supports over many years of benchrest shooting, and even did some design work on one of our own. This Single Rifle Cradle from our friends at PMA Tool is so well done that we abandoned our own project. A Cleaning Cradle (or caddie) for benchrest rifles needs to have some important attributes – it must support the rifle in a “muzzle down” position so solvents/oils don’t run back into the action/trigger while you are cleaning; it must keep the rifle stable – no wiggling around – while you are cleaning; it must protect the rifle stock from scratches and dings; it must be easy to transport, set-up and use; and it must fit the rifle stock you are shooting. This Cradle does all these things very well, and most shooters don’t even clamp the cradle to their cleaning bench – it just sits there on the silicone feet and does its job. Cradle saddles are covered with thick silicone in all stock contact points, and both models come apart with two Allen screws for flat packing. The rear saddle fits BR and large F-Class stocks (including the “fat” Scoville and Scarbrough thick wrist stocks), and the front saddle is formed for 3” forends. Single models are 15” long. This is an all-around excellent Cradle.
